"There is something ever so captivating about a singer who takes control of a stage not only with great artistry but also with an aura of calm. Most endearing is O’Hara’s knack for making the audience feel that she is performing quite simply for her friends. She’s also one hell of a singer.
O’Hara’s music deserves to be left to linger in the air, to be swayed to and to be absorbed" (The Australian Stage)

As far as swing is concerned, George Washingmachine is soaking in it! He has such a unique voice with so many colours. Sweet and smooth one moment, bluesy and gravelly the next. (GWM) Julie has a very special way with a line, she insinuates herself around the lyric and to share some tunes with her was remarkable.(JO'H)

Midnight Sun, the follow-up album to 2004's hugely popular Paper Moon, reunites Julie with her partner in swing, Sydney's George Washingmachine. Listening to George is like watching an especially daring high wire artist at the circus.
"Hearing Julie on this delightful CD effortlessly recalls the Anita of Jazz On A Summer's Day, the big hat, the 'come hither' voice and, above all, the delicious cool."
